The calculator does not follow the proper order of operations for the entire 'formula' the way that Excel does. The way you've written it, you should get 245 (i.e. the 7+5 = 12 will happen first because of the parenthesis, then multiplied by 20 for 240, however, the 25 should be divided by 5 first - giving 5 - before being added to the 240). If you enter the operations sequentially into a 'calculator', you will probably just get 240 +25 = 265, and then all divided by 5 to give 53.

Your forumla (7+5) x 20 + 25/5 is taken in the following order by Excel:
!st -- Calculates inside the paraphrasis. (7+5) becomes 12
2nd -- perform mulitplications and divisions at the same level of order. 12 x 20 = 240 and 25/5 = 5

So you now hav 240 + 5 = 245.

It works on my calculator
7+ 5 =12
12 x 20 = 240
240 + 25 = 265
265 / 5 = 53

try this....
=(7+5)*(20+25)/5
