I don't recall ever "whining" when being asked a question.
As for the second part, "can you understand how others feel...?" Well, first of all I don't answer questions on matters of theology and such. I could care less whether you think Jesus was born in 4BC or 7BC, or whether or not there is a Trinity, or how many angels fit on the head of a pin. If "believers" would keep their beliefs to themselves, we wouldn't have a problem.
It's when believers try to distort or discredit established science and try to force their beliefs on the rest of us that I get vocal, and usually with the specific intent of revealing the distortions and misinformation. If you try to enshrine your beliefs in the schools or in our laws, I don't CARE how it makes you feel to be criticized.
All students deserve better than "intelligent design" and "flood geology." All people deserve the right to live in committed, legally recognized and equal unions, regardless of sexual preference. All women deserve the right to make their own reproductive decisions. If you want to impede any of those rights, expect your feelings to get stepped on, without apology.

Are you asking a question?
This is without a doubt the most mind-boggling thing I've ever read. You make an assumption and then simply jump to a conclusion without any supporting arguments.

I haven't noticed any whining on the part of the atheists. Atheists are used to being condemned for the fact that they don't believe in other's magical beings. Do you think that your questioning or mocking us is something new to us?
The religious get bent out of shape and take it very personally when someone questions their beliefs, because they're used to being the favored majority. They're not used to being questioned about their beliefs, and they're certainly not used to being challenged about them.

Christianity has a creed. So does atheism (Their creed is "there is no God"). It is a belief structure as much as believing in supernatural beings, but it is grounded in what is known and felt and seen, so it is a faith based on what we can sense, rather than what we can 'feel'. (Sorry, Thomas Aquinas was simply wrong when he said that the whole of Creation points towards the Creator- that is simply a superstition based on what was not understood at the time- one can live quite a happy life being an atheist, believing that this is it, as can a Christian, Moslem of other 'spiritual' person, who believes that all we see just isn't 'it'.
None of us will get to know the truth until we are dead- if Christians are wrong, then it won't matter because they won't have any knowledge of their futility- if atheists are wrong, well, they'll just have to figure it out for themselves
So, to be honest, it doesn't really matter!

I could care less if you mock my beliefs. Just don't give false pretenses as to what you think my beliefs are.

Can you specify where you feel someone was whining? I haven't followed all the Q&A.

2 wrongs don't make a right.
and there's no need to be stereotypical. not all atheists mock and laugh other religions.
you and others need to respect others' beliefs.
