Does not believing in God also mean not accepting the Devil?..or that a person has a spirit or soul?

Good question.

An atheist simply doesn't believe in god(s). Any other beliefs are debatable. Seeing as the devil qualifies (in my book) as a god, I'd have to say an atheist wouldn't believe in it either.

As far as the "spiritual" world goes, an atheist could believe in those things, but I would be free to question their sanity.

I firmly believe that there is an astounding great potential in the back of the creation, strengthen, and functioning of this Cosmos. Thinkers of the previous have known because it God, Ishwar, Parameshwar, Allah, Nature, Bramha etc. it is all useful, continually modern-day in the style of potential and actual rules which includes gravity, electromagnetic field, electrons, atoms and so on. makes no blunders, does no longer violate any actual regulation. it is not somebody, who would be delighted or no longer delighted via worship and prayers or no worship and no prayers. It does no longer choose each and every guy or woman or gets indignant with each and every guy or woman, It does no longer provide something to each guy or woman or takes away something from each and every guy or woman. the concept-approximately God exists purely in the human concepts and not in the concepts of any of the life varieties on earth Earth. Am I a non secular atheist?

The term "atheist" is a general term that means a lack in the existence of god(s).

There are many specific terms for different types of atheistic belief (or non-belief as some prefer) systems that are more exacting and descriptive.

Even the terms "religion" and "god" have multiple meanings to different people.

For example: Buddhism is a belief system that has no god. Many (but not all) Buddhists are very spiritual. Some people say that it cannot be called a religion because it has no god; others disagree. Some Buddhists proudly call themselves atheists; some do not like the term.

Many pantheists believe that there is no god with a personality (sitting in a thrown, looking down on us over his white beard), but do believe in a life energy that permeates the universe. Some call themselves atheists and some call themselves theists; it is a tough call.

Check out some of these specific terms.
Hard (or firm) atheist: a total lack of belief in any god or supernatural being.
Anti-religious: not necessarily disbelieving in god, but having a strong belief that organized religions are bad.
Weak agnostic: Undecided or uninterested in the existance of god.
Hard (or firm) agnostic: Decided that we are unable to EVER know if god exists. The act of trying is a waste of time and energy.
Dystheism: the belief that god(s) exists but that (s)he is not necesarily all good ("god created everything including evil")

well, that's up to you. an atheist is someone who doesn't believe in god(s). how much you extend that is your choice, your beliefs. your beliefs are up to you.

It only means the lack of belief in the existence of gods, which would include Satan, since Satan is a deity. The definition does not extend to "lack of belief in the supernatural". Although many atheists lack belief in the existence of anything of which there is no evidence of existence, this is "required" (for lack of a better word).

Atheism means you don't believe in any kind of deity - good, bad or other. I kind of find it hard to believe in anything spiritual without believing there's some kind of hierarchy to it myself. But I guess if you want to believe in spirits without gods, then you could be a spiritual atheist.

Happy New Year!!

An atheist doesn't believe in any gods. That's all. Different atheists may have opposing viewpoints on other things, the lack of belief in god(s) is the only common denominator.

Some atheists probably do believe in souls or spirits (I haven't met one myself), but as long as they don't believe a god exists, they're still an atheist.

The label atheist means that one does not believe in any gods, nothing less, nothing more.
