try different nipples on the bottles, find one that conforms more to how your nipple is, that might help - make sure they are well washed before use so they don't have that latex taste.

This is more about who's willpower is stronger - right now hers is - you give in to her crying. You just have to bite the bullet and say no - when she gets thirsty enough - she will take the bottle.

Try having someone else feed her a bottle that you pumped. If you don't want to pump have someone else feed her a bottle. It is probably because she can smell the millk from you trying to feed her. http://www.parents.com/parents/story.jsp?storyid=/templatedata/ab/story/data/57.xml Best of luck and Happy New Year!!!

Keep offering her the bottle and let her cry and scream...eventually she will get the idea.

what my mom used to is rub some thing on it that is bitter and then she said that don't let the baby put his or her mouth on it and if the baby want it just let they have a little tip and then you just take out the baby bottle and the put some in it and give to his or her.

you will have to make sure she gets the bottle every time, or she will make you give her the breast. have a little milk on the bottle nipple so she tastes the milk right at the start of feeding.

hey i can give u a pretty good tip rather u use it or not it is totally up to u. i was breast feeding me daughter and she had to have surgery so i put hot sauce on my breast and yes it did burn like heck but it work she cryed a little and i give her a sippy cup and she didnt take it any after that but be persistant about it you dont want to give the breast after you do this because she may get use to the hot sauce. good luck and i hope this works like it did for me.

i really know nothing about parenting, but here goes...

try enticing her w/ chocolate milk instead, i've always though that tasted better than the boobie milk.

Rub a bit of lemon juice onto your nipple. have a bottle handy so when the wee one squirms at the bitterness, she'll go for the bottle.

hello, i have no idea if this will work but maybe you could give it a shot! there are these bottles called breastflows by the first years you can find them at target and they have two nipples on them and its the closest thing to the breast on the market so far because they have to do the same kind of sucking and compressing. i plan on breastfeeding and bottlefeeding and i hope this will work for the transitioning otherwise ill be asking the same question in a few months lol! i hope this helps! good luck!

try with just taking out one feeding from the breast out a day. If she refuses to drink from the bottle at that feeding, then try spoon feeding her some baby cereal or jarred food so she does not go hungry, but do not give in and breastfeed. Experiment with different bottles and nipples and put breastmilk in the bottles.
