i know its milk and vinegar but how much and how much for 3 to 4 tablespoons?

What you are referring to is sour milk. Use 3 1/2 tablespoons of milk and 1/2 tablespoon of white vinegar. Mix them and let is set for 5 minutes. *I just done this the other day with a recipe, worked fine*

Adding vinegar or lemon juice to milk will give you a "sour" milk that can be substituted for buttermilk. However, did you also know that you can purchase dried buttermilk? It can be stored for long periods of time and reconstituted with water for times when you need it. You'll find it most likely in the baking aisle of your supermarket.

1 cup milk (whole) and on Tablespoon vinegar. Let the mix set for about ten minutes.

fill a measuring cup with milk to just under the ¼ cup (4 Tbsp) level. Add 1-2 tsp of lemon juice or vinegar, stir well, and let sit about 10-15 min. Stir again before using.
