Just thought I would throw this out there to see if anyone is ignorant enough to disagree.
Here is the way Easter is calculated:
The Nicene Council (ended August 25, 325 A.D.) decreed Easter to be the first Sunday after the full moon following the Spring Equinox, March 21, unless that full moon fell on a Sunday (in which case Easter would be the following Sunday).

You are correct. And anything that has to do with God's itinerary is based on the cycles of the sun. And yes the word Easter is derived from the word Ishtar. Who is an ancient Goddess of fertility, often symbolized by rabbits and eggs. Rabbits procreate often and reproduce very quickly. The word Easter is only used once in the bible. It is in the book of Acts. If a person looks up the word Easter in the Strong's concordance you will come to find out the word that is used in the manuscripts actually is "passel" which translated mean "passover".

Yes, that how it is done.
Although, next year's (2008) Easter is on March 23, the full moon being the 22nd and the beginning of Spring starts on the 21/22.

Another tidbit: Easter was originally and Pagan fertility festival, which fell on the day of the Spring equinox. The rabbits and eggs represent fertility.

Close, but not quite. It's actually based on something called the "Pascal full moon", which is purely mathematical (sometimes this coincides with the real one, but more often than not, it doesn't). The World Almanac until about 1990 had all the charts, formulas, etc. to figure it.

I knew that one! Good question!

I know quite a number of Christians that don't know how its calculated or why rabbits and eggs are associated with Ostara (I mean Easter)
