Conventional orange juice is junk food because during pasteurization it has lost its dietary fiber and vitamin c and A. The only thing that is added back is vitamin C. Fresh squeezed orange juice isn't junk food however. Pick the orange.

i like oranges just as they are. if you want something different, try putting them in a salad with pecans. some people like to cut them in half, place honey on top, and bake in oven for 10-15 minutes. i do that with grapefruit, it acts as a sugar, but no so sweet.

okay this might be a bit strange to you, but one of our favourite salads is:

Spinach and Orange Salad
1 bag of washed baby spinach
1-2 segmented oranges plus any juice you can squeeze out of the membrane
1 handful of chopped walnuts
finely sliced red onion
finely sliced radishes if you like them
make the dressing with the orange juice squeezed from the membranes, olive oil, cinnamon and honey

it's really tasty, unusual, uses your oranges, very healthy

Happy New Year from Sydney Australia :-)
