oooook' here we go...to celebrate the georgian & islaamic new year is bid'ah "inovation" & weither it's a non-religous holiday or not is neither here or there. what is the AUTHENIC PROOF TO DO SUCH THINGS??? muhammad saallahu 'alaihi wasalaam said; any & all bid'ah "inovation" is in the fire "hellfire" muslims have authentic proof to celibrate the 'eed al fitr "after the month of ramadhaan", 'eed adhaa on the 10th. of thulhijjah & the weekly assalaatul jumu'ah...that's IT, no birthdays, no anniversity, no. reguardless of "oooh', this is from my country, my tribe, my culture etc." to do this. NO...the qur'aan & sunnah overides all that other useless traditions. i'm a muslim & if i upset any muslims by what i said i'm sorry, but where's the proof for doing these things?????????????????????????????????????????

You do realize that New Years is not a religous holiday right? Why would it matter. I imagine some do, some don't. Depends on where they are.

Heres a good rule of thumb: If civilization celebrates it or practices it, then contrarian Islamic hate culture reviles it.
