Great food, old sights, make sure you visit the underground mall and the traditional french part of town. The people are very friendly, try to speak french - they will help you out (most speak english as well).

It's cool and cosmopolitan. Lots of fashion, culture, great food, museums ...
So is Quebec City...but Montreal has a thriving economy. They do alot of film work there.

I played hockey there once.... I love it. Learn a little french, the people there are french canadian, and treat you much better if you at least TRY and speak their language. Oh, and if you go in winter, go to the UNDERGROUND SHOPPING MALLS!!!!! You;ll have a blast.
