The best reasons to work with any dog on tricks are because:
--it improves the bond between the two of you. Your dog isn't just learning a trick, your dog and you are doing something together.
--your dog is learning that you are the source of fun, stimulation, and rewards. Your dog will love you unconditionally regardless of who you are but when you bring joy and fun and stimulation to your dog's life than it's so much better.
That said....just about any kind of trick is fine if it meets those criteria above.
Here are a couple of ideas and also some resources to look at for more information:
1. Teach your dog to crawl. It's easy to do, works well if your dog has a bad leg and is also a bit unique (not many people teach their dog to do this).
2. Work on shaping behavior. A good example is the "100 things to do with a box" game at the website below. I've done the same thing with a rocking chair, I know another trainer who used the same game to teach her dog to nudge a ball with her nose. You can chose any object and teach your dog to interact with it in a different way.
3. Teach your dog to nod "yes" or "no" based on a hand signal. You than "fade" that signal (so it's not obvious to others--they're looking at other things that your'e saying or doing). And you can say "looks like rain doesn't Bonnie?" (and Bonnie nods "yes") or "does my brother have a silly name?" and Bonnie nods "yes." This trick is a huge hit with groups of people.
4. Do weaves between your legs as you walk. This can eventually turn into a figure "8".
5. Teach her when she is sitting or in a down-stay to cover here eyes with her paws. This is especially humorous when combined with a question like "Bonnie, what did you think of my sister's new outfit?"

Go here for the best dog training couse http://dog-training.gelaf.info
Since it is obvious that you do not have a clue about obedience training, your services should be for free. You cannot train even an adult dog for 8 hours a day. About the most that can be done at any one time is 10 - 20 minutes and that is with an adult dog and not a puppy. The attention span on this baby is extremely short and training session should be no more than 10 minutes and twice a day. Additionally, there isn't going to be much learned if you will only be training for 5 days. Obedience training is cumulative and is done over a much longer period of at least several weeks to several months.
What you can charge is determined by your experience, reputation, and accomplishments and in a case like this, should also include guaranteed expectations. Just working with dogs over several years, is not the experience that is necessary to be a dog trainer. There are too many people who are putting that title to their name and fleecing the public. Don't be one of them.

Hi,
You should definitely attend a dog training course if you want to stop these unwanted behaviours. A good one I found online is http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=572
It's really well made (it has a lot of videos), simple and effective. I recommend it.

Teach him to get your keys out of your purse and bring to you. Teach him to pick up toys and put in a basket. Teach him to shut a door. My dog will pick up laundry as I move it from washer to dryer and hand it back up to me to put in the dryer, is very helpful and cute. I'm always looking for fun things for her to do that helps me around the house.

My shih tzu sneezes on command, dead, shake, sad dog, spin, back up, bow, gets a kleenex, stick em up, roll over, tells me a story, crawl. If I tell her, "Do you want to be a Texas Long Horn or would you rather be Dead", she rolls over dead. She knows all of her basic commands, loose leash walking, sit, down, stay, coming, leave it, take it, drop it, etc. All the tricks were done with a clicker. Lots of fun'

My dog knows, sit, fetch, stay, wait(for a treat) , shake a paw, lay down, roll over, speak ( which is just barking) answering questions with a yes answer is a sneeze., and if he wants a treat, he has a way of saying "I want it".. in a growly doggy voice.
He also does this really cute thing, if I hold the ball next to my face, he will crouch and back up.. if I say "a little more".. he backs up a little more.
If I just hold the ball like I am going to throw it, he just stands and waits.

How about fetching, shake/paw, roll over, play dead, etc. There are lots of pet trick books out there or just do a google search for ideas. Or you could get into dog sports like Agility or Flyball if you really want to do some interesting stuff with your dog! Have fun!
