I recently had my measurements taken for a dress and mine were:Bust 36, Waist 26 Hips 36. Is it odd that my bust and hips are the same size?

No, those are great measurements. In fact, classically those are perfect measurements--equal hip and bust, and a ten-inch difference in the waist.

If I have been you i could positioned on a padded bra to enhance your breast length.

actually that is quite normal, thats what is meant by hourglass figure.

Back in the 50's and 60's that was the ideal figure among the ladies including the glamour girls of the silver screen. I would say you are in good shape....pun intended.
