Check for trouble codes there is a Gray socket Nissan Uses just above and to the left of the front hood release. Not starting on the first crank may be the idle air control or a leaky fuel injector. Does it start and die out then the third time it stays running? E-Mail Me You have my interest!

Check for leaky fuel injections. Then crank angle sensor. This is located in the front of the engine on the right side on the timing cover (silver round thing with 3 bolts on it). Use a grease pencil or some to mark the location of the holes. After you do that pull it out then turn the key on (1st position not starting it)...then rotate that shaft of the Crank angle sensor. You should be able to hear the injectors click). If you not willing to go that far, run a diagnostic on the ecu . Heres a link that tells you how to do that and what each code means.
