It usually turns poisonous when one of the partners dismisses the other without clear explanation of why it must end. It is unresolved issues and the hurt one will not allow the one that hurt them happiness resulting in sometimes deadly or hurtful poisonous force of events.

If the cheater is honest of their intentions or the person that wish to move on wants to do so successfully simply have a valid reason for breaking up with some one so they can let it go!

Yes. I know every day I should let it go, as it is killing my slowly. But I haven't. Because I can't.
