min pins love to be held...they r lap dogs...i dont see anything wrong with letting him sit on your shoulders as long as its safe for him and he cant fall off and hurt himself...like if you r on your bed or the couch vs. u standing up and having him on your shoulders...i love min pins...they r just adorable!!!

This is very common Min Pin behavior. Mine do it all the time, and it's not an issue. Use common sense in keeping the dog safe, depending on what you are doing when he wants to be up high;) The only issue that can arise is when you have a dog with aggressive tendencies. Dogs with aggressive tendencies should not be allowed on top of you because it indicates to them that they are above you in pack order.

My min pin used to do it all the time. Just be really carefull not to let him fall. He fell one time out of my arms and hit his head really hard on the floor, a few years later he had epilespy. I can't say if he got it from that or not but just be really carefull!

Minpins love to be high up off the ground. It probably makes up for being so short! One of my pins curls her body around the back of my neck and lays on my shoulders to cuddle. She then lays her head on my neck and gives me kisses. Pins are very affectionate, and if your pin has no behavior problems I see no reason to make your dog stop this.

I wouldn't let him to it while you're walking around. It's dangerous..

Whats wrong with that? My Cavalier likes to lay across my shoulders when in the car or when i'm sitting on the couch. But i never drive with her there. Only when in the passenger seat There's nothing wrong with that unless your dog is a brat and doesn't listen to commands. When a dog is above you it can be a form of showing they're the alpha over you.

well like when you're walking?
if you're just sitting or laying down, why not, if you like it.
but if it could injure your dog then no, discourage the behavior.
sounds cute though(:
