People involved in the tsunami??!!?

I was in Puket on the beach at Kamala Bay when the 2004 tsunami struck, just wondering if there was anyone else involved that I could talk to or anyone who knows people involved?

Some friends of mine were on their honeymoon on Pi Pi island in Thailand when the 2004 Tsunami hit. They were stranded there, but had been on the far side of the island and were unhurt.
