I have 2 cats and they are starting to like each other i know how long a cats heaat is, but i need the cats too be neutered quickly.

Take it to the vet but it's best to nueter or spray you cat at 5 months old.

A female can only be spayed NOT neutered

Yes, though it would technically be 'spaying' if the cat is in heat (meaning female). Only males are 'neutered'.

Yes, a cat can be spayed when in heat, but it usually costs more. The uterus is engorged and sometimes it cannot be removed laparoscopically, but requires a full incision of the abdomen. Spaying during heat increases the risk of some uterine tissue to getting left in the abdomen which can create problems for the cat later on down the road. The ideal time to get a female cat spayed is before her first heat. It is usually recommended to wait as long as possible to neuter a male though.

It is possible to spay a female while she's in heat- though it would be more difficult.
Since you have a pair, get them both fixed now- before you start getting the problems associated with unaltered animals.
