Actually you might want to define that abit further.
For Personal Desktops, its Windows.
For Portables and hand-helds its Mac.
For small multi-purpose internet servers running on a PC its Linux.
And for larger internet applications running on a PC its Unix.
Everything has its pros and cons. There are very good reasons why each of those work for those purposes better than the others. And Generally I wouild not move them around much altho Linux is getting pretty close to a decent desktop operating system.

BY THE WAY PC TERM IS USUALLY REFERRED TO WINDOWS MACHINES ONLY - DATES BACK TO FIRST IBM COMPUTER THAT RUN ON MICROSOFT DOS
