Every school night (because i am afraid i will get bags, or a bad grade) it takes me soooooo long to fall asleep, and I worry about how much sleep I will get that day, and HAVE to be laying on the couch by 6. If i dont fall asleep right away i start crying! This has been going on for 1 year and a half. I want my life back!!
BTW-
I am only 13 years old
and have suffered from Anorexia

HELP ME PLEASE!

Do NOT nap during the day!! That way your brain will get used to your new schedule of having to wake up in the early morning, then by 8-9 pm, you won't be able to keep your eyes open!! Do NOT lay down at 6pm. Let your body get used to your new schedule of going to sleep at 9 and getting up at 6am. (That's just an example.) If you have to get up at 6am, and you know you need 9 hours of sleep a night to feel rested and no bags, don't get into bed until 9pm. You'll fall asleep as soon as your head hits the pillow! This is called a *circadian* schedule. Believe me, Sweetie, it works!! E-mail me if you have any questions.

I hope your anorexia is in the past for good. Way to go!! :)

Welll alot of times the answer is something only you just do, but not always. I usually fall asleep with the t.v. on with something comforting or something I'm familiar with, but sometimes this sets a trend that is hard to break. Like for awhile I would fall asleep watching Zoolander, then I went on vacation and it was weird not watching it before I fell asleep. I suggest having one of your favorite teas or hot cocoa before you go to sleep. If you read ever, I suggest reading a book because that helps focus then eventually fall asleep.

There is an acid that is produced in excess when you don't eat enough this acid will make it hard to sleep , causes a restless feeling , sort of like drinking caffeen ,, eat a few salteens I recomend un salted salteens , ten or twelve salteens or mabey a few more will help the restlessness and hopfully give you a relaxed blood flow ,, that will calm you enough not have the gitters ,,,

seems like it might just be a little anxiety. its ok! if you calm down, you will be able to get through the whole sleeping problem.
