Recently my grandmother died due to complications from end-stage renal disease. She was on dialysis for 15 years. I am trying to find out more about cacifixiation-I know it is a calcifying of the arteries but what else.?

Its primarily the arteries. Vascular calcification is the most common cause of death in patients on dialysis.

Yes the body can give out just like that. My brother in law went to the doctor because he was throwing up for a few days. He was sent to the hospital and died the next day. His kidneys shut down and there's nothing you can do. For your uncle probably about the only thing they could do is a transplant but I don't think it is available past a certain age. 82 is a long life, celebrate the rest of the time he has with him. Nobody did anything wrong here.
