It shouldn't really surprise anyone because Jesus said that the road to life would be hard to follow and narrow (Matthew 7:14 - "Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it").

Jesus also said that there would be people (e.g. different religious groups) who would be rejected by Jesus (Matthew 7:21 - "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.")

This is an interesting question from the person who do not give Messiah the proper honor. Jesus Christ is our Messiah and our God. He will not accept anything less than accepting Him as our Lord and Savior God.

To a degree. As a fundamentalist Christian, I believe that only worship through the Blood of Christ truely works. But I am sure I get a few specific things wrong, or twisted up. The Bible says we should call no man father in the authoritarian sense, that we have only one worship leader; He who is in heaven. That all believers are set apart as a holy priesthood and ordainment comes from Him, not a school run by men. Plenty of Christians today get that one screwed up, and I believe Jesus will have a thing or two to say about it when He calls us up and we, along with others, go through the white throne judgement. But I do not believe that those who love Him, who have followed His path to forgiveness of sins as outlined in the Bible, will lose their salvation over even concious rejection of the lesser guidelines.
I believe that my works will be tried by fire, and what is left is what I will earn some degree of reward on. I am sure that things I consider inconsequential, or even correct, will be burnt along with things I know are bad. And there are things I may know of, think I do well, even preach, but unknowingly walk the other way on, will be burnt as well. And I will be surprised to see them consumed.
But since God has proved Himself to me in Jesus, has shown that Jesus and His gospel is logical and makes sense in so many meriyad ways, I would be floored if that somehow proved to be incorrect.

Be about the same feeling you get when you're told your Discover card isn't working.

Maybe a few 'extras' would've saved you.

If by Messiah you mean Jesus then here is what I believe. Jesus comes to everyone at the right time for that person. He comes regardless of age, religion, or intelligence. For some he comes at the time of death. (He might be present many times in a lifetime but that may not be the time he comes to you personnaly) When He comes he says "Who do you say that I am?" At that point your soul knows who He really is and the choice is to claim Him or deny Him.

Therefore, He does not reject different forms of religions if they are sincere forms of worship to God. He would reject forms of witchcraft of course.

actually it would.

nothing about God leads me to believe that only one form or style of worship pleases Him...

i'm sure He likes to be amused by His kids, just like any other parent...
