What could be a cause of upper stomach pain??

I have pain right where my rib cage parts, the spot below where the sternum is. It is just like a stomach ache, but higher up. I know there are alot of diferent things it could be, but does anyone have any theories of what it could be??

It sounds like your stomach acid might be out of balance.
Drink a small glass of water with a couple of tablespoons of lemon juice in it. It corrects the acid balance in your stomach.
