I know that they are still waiting for the Messiah, but what then? Do they believe that it will be the end for sinners, as many Christians do? Or is it a new world for everyone?

Paul...I'm Catholic, so I'm not trying to convert or anything. Was just hoping someone who is Jewish could give me the simple version of the answer. I was just curious.

If you would like to know what the real Jewish Messiah will do, and how the world will be, please see the following Jewish links. It's too much to explain in the short time I have here before I have to get going, or I would, sorry. But the links are thorough and informative.
Here are the criteria the Messiah must fulfill:

Here is a short info the Jewish belief in what the world will be like after the real Messiah comes (about halfway down the page):

Oh! P.S. I'm Jewish, sorry forgot to say that. Also, if you're interested in the path of the Righteous Gentile, please see

I'd just like to mention that you should be careful of who you listen to when it comes to questions like these. Whether or not it's intentional, it's easy for people to have the wrong ideas about a religion if they don't follow that religion. If you're Roman Catholic, I'm sure you can understand that.
Still, without being certain, I would think Jews would believe in a new Heaven and a new Earth being created. It's spoken of in the Book of Isaiah, but even though we use some of the same texts, our theologies are vastly different.
Happy New Year!
Drew
PS: Julia, thank you for posting the link to the 7 Noahide laws. I've been curious about that for quite some time.

I'll preface this by saying that I'm not Jewish.
The Jews believe that they are the chosen people. The old testament proves this to be true, until Jesus. All peoples were special to Him.
The Jews today still think that they are the chosen people and are awaiting their Messiah. They rejected Jesus because they thought the Messiah would bring them peace and prosperity to this world. And that the Messiah would overcome their enemies.
Jews do not believe in a Heaven or a hell.
Jews of the old testament gave sacrifices to the Lord to atone for their sins, but since they haven't controlled the Temple in ages, I do not know how they are atoning for their sins.
From what I've read, the majority of Jews in Israel aren't religious. being Jewish is more of a race than a religion.
That's all I know.

The Jews rejected Jesus as the Messiah. However, there is every indication in the Old and New Testaments proving that Jesus is the Messiah that the Jews have been waiting for. In fact, in the New Testament we read that when Jesus comes again on the clouds of heaven, the Jews will cry like a baby because they will realize that the one coming on the clouds is the One they crucified at Calvary.

Read the Old Testament but basically it is Money is Good, Look after Yourseld and Family and stuff everyone else.
Christianity is an offshoot of this except Jesus said "Look after your mates", good advice, which they ignored which is why 6 000 000 were swiftly and efficiently deat with by Nazi Death Camps, much to the surprise of Christian Nazis who could not figure out why Jews would not help each other, despite bening in positions wherethere were more Jews than Nazi's had bullets. Not nice but True.

I suggest you look up a Temple (online listings) and contact a rabbi. Most of them would be pleased to answer your question.
