How Can you believe in religion? seriously though. I really like the idea of life after death, but I think most religious people are a pain in the you know what.. especially evangelical christians, they seem rather ridiculous, with all the devil this and jesus that. Jesus hung out with lepers and hookers no? Most religious people I know would judge someone for doing that, like oh Nancy Grace or Glenn Beck? Explain USA.

the bible is a really old book. We don't even use text books from 50 years ago. You can not take it literally, do you believe in Harry Potter? I am not an atheist.

Alright, I get the air thing, but there is proof that there is air, or gravity, or emotions, or love, or blah! So, those arent good examples of something you can not see. Why don't you believe in psychics then? etc?

Another thing... about the bible... doesnt it seem like a list of morals and rules (good ones mind you) that people should obey? and if they do not there is the theat of hell? don't you think? its like for Jews.. how they don't eat certain things.. back in those days it was easy to get sick from those foods.. just another thought.

You have posed two very different questions.
The first in believing what you can not see. That is left to the imagination.

Religion however, as it proclaims to be fact has more work to do. To assume that we as humans are not capable of advancing through the ages without specific guidelines from historic people is dangerous. It does close our minds to other possibilities. It stops us from forming new conclusions. It is wrong to deem any book or any ones thoughts as "Gospel". It would indicate that the world has already ended and there is no longer any reason for us to be here.

Peace to you...good question :-))

I can't see you... so you don't exist? Right? That's the scenario you just gave me. I don't see air, but I have to have it to live. I know what it can do... it can sway the trees...I don't see it, but its there... I can see the results of its existence. So is it with God . I have never physically seen Him, but I see the results of His existence in Creation. I have never physically touched Him but I feel His presence everywhere around me.

And as much as I hate to admit it, I know YOU exist, also, because I have just read and am responding to... your stupidity, even though I haven't seen you.

Psalms 8:3  ¶When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
4  What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

Psalms 19:1  ¶<> The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

3  There is no speech nor language, where their(the heavens) voice is not heard.

6  His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
7  ¶The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
8  The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9  The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

Divide 200300 by 360 = 556.388888, right ?

556 years, 4 months, 20 days or April 20, 556 BC is
The day Daniel prophesied the temple would be cleansed in Daniel 8:13

Jesus was glorified and ascended to heaven at 12:01 am, Moday morning, April 20, 33 AD. The 3rd Sunday in April, Easter Sunday.

For proof, go to calendarhome, at the top of the page
change 20 07 to 00 33, on the next screen (right hand) change month to April. Sunday is on the 19th, thursday (day of preparation) is on the 16th.

I don't believe in god or life after death I just don't think about it too much because I'm not going to get the real answers till I die anyways so why get all worked up about going to hell and all that. Besides If what the bible says is true than god loves us all and we don't have to get down on our knees and pray to the f*cker and ask for his forgiveness for the sins that jesus already died for! Anyways I think it's great that people have something to believe in we all need that but I don't need to believe in something that's going to make me feel bad about everything I do. And I HATE it when people push they're beliefs on me!

You need to have faith and believe that there is something higher than us. As far as the people on T.V., most of those people just claim to be christians and twist the things that really happened and the things that are going to happen. So you just need to have faith that is what believing something you can't see means.
