Some things are universal or near universal, others for various reasons are not. What goes down well in one country wouldn't necessarily go down so well in any other country. There aren't that many places where chld marriage is acceptable and rightly so, I think. But adult marriage is pretty much universal even in places where child marriage is practiced. I know it doesn't answer your question, but it might give a clue.

I do not believe that you are Hindu at all.
All the Hindus i know consider prostitution as wicked and degrading for the girls who are exploited and victimized and as a sacrilege when done in the name of temple prostitution as a 'sacred act".
Only loving marital sex is a sacred act.
Child prostitution is even worse and hideous.
To blame all Hindus and all forms of Hinduism for these sacrileges and crimminal acts is like blaming all atheists for the crimes of Communist atheists and all Christians for Jim Jones( an atheist and 'egotheist',by the way).

I take it if your a Hindu your religious. It appears from what I have read that the religion is not what I would call compassionate. Theres peados all over the world mate. From what I have just read, assuming its unbiased, looks like theres a fair few peados in india as well.

OK, now that you've flooded the site with these questions, maybe you could tell us exactly what your question is. Is it just to say that Hindus are bad people? Do you want us to pay more attention to this problem in India than we do in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, or any of the other countries that engage in this practice? Do you feel child prostitution is worse because it has religious trappings with it?
