If U really dont know its a microsoft program so try microsoft.com or google it . its free d/l just type directx in google if you still have problems then put ur computer back in the box it came with an return it .....to the shop... and read a comic ..
ps directx 8 is old all ready 9 for the user has been out for a long time.
