I just watched it and I was cracked up...

But now I feel kinda guilty for finding it funny because I am a Christian.

I don't think so....I'm a Christian and I think Life of Brian is genius!
It's made pretty clear that Brian is a separate person to Jesus (you even see Jesus speaking in the film). The character of Jesus isn't mocked at all in this film.
I hate that everyone seems to think that Christians can't have a sense of humour.

Of course it's OK. Enjoy - the film's a classic, and to echo John Cleese, it's Python at the very zenith of their powers.

The point to remember is that the Life of Brian is NOT talking about Jesus. The Life of Brian is talking about people who will believe things blindly, without looking at them properly. It's also (in the stoning scene for example) talking about people who will decry things because they have been told it's what they should do, not because there's any logic to decrying them.

Life of Brian is a very clever, very funny movie. If you're a Christian, believing in some Creator-God, then trust the instincts you feel that God has given you - laugh when you see something funny. Don't worry about whether it's "OK" to laugh at it. If it makes you want to laugh, it's right to laugh.

Peace.

The critics who needed to restrict the action picture probable did no longer even watch the entire element. jointly because it relatively is a few thing of parody of the life of Jesus, the action picture additionally makes it sparkling that Brian isn't meant to certainly BE Jesus. Brian certainly encounters Jesus in the process the action picture and Jesus is obtainable in accordance with the universal Christian strategies. there is not any area in the action picture the place it certainly shows or implies Jesus doing something silly or incorrect.

Of course it's okay, it's comedy. Your faith is still as strong as ever isn't it? Sheesh! I have to wonder why so many Theists seem to feel so much guilt for such innocent pleasures.

Yes it's funny...and doesn't make fun of Christ at all.
It kind of made fun of people who make up things and worship this and that...Though the male nude scene at the end was too much.

The Holy Grail movie is even more hilarious.

Then there is the Meaning of Life which is hilarious as well and Live at the Hollywood bowl....live skits from their tv show in britain Monty Python's Flying Circus.

You believe God made you in His image, don't you?

Then God must have a sense of humor too.

I think the better question is: why are you a Christian? Do you want to obey the rules of someone you've never met? Why not live life by your own set of rules? You can be a good person that way. Religion inspires hatred in many believers, and so the world would be a much better place if all such preachings were abolished.

I think even God had a sense of humour - Why did he make Eve - because when he made Adam he was only joking!
