My fiance & I are working on our engagement announcements. And I was wondering the proper etiquette on who to send them to.
We probably will not be able to invite everyone we know to the wedding (space is limited). Is it improper to send them the engagement announcements?
We were hoping to note when the wedding is planned for in the announcement (like a really early save-the-date, especially for our out of the country family members) - - should we not include this if we send to those that will not be invited to the wedding?

I have never heard of sending out engagement announcements. Where I live, the engagement is announced in the local paper along with a picture of the couple.

Send wedding invitations to the people you want to have at your wedding. After the wedding, send wedding announcements to the ones you didn't invite to the wedding.

You should definitely just send them to those you plan on attending. I think it would be kind of rude to get an announcement and not get invited.
Because those announcements usually act as an invitation.
