If you want him you better get him now, before someone else does. We were feeding and watching a big 14 point behind my house and thought he would be around forever and some idiot shot him out of a car window, standing in a pasture.

Mr T is right. His rack is likely to get smaller and his fur shaggyer.

KILL now he is on the decline if 6-7 yrs old
Seriously if your hunting antlers or meat, He is a nice one.
If your hunting meat, don't worry about antlers, take what is legal!
My life long philosophy is you don't eat the antlers, but I am looking for "the big one"

If he's really that old, he's about maxed out.

Shoot him now. The more you wait, the bigger the chance the deer will get shot by somebody else. Besides his rack is large enough that if your concerned about mounting it it would be a great buck to mount. Good luck.

If he is as old as you say he is pretty much at his prime. After a certain time the quality of his rack will start to diminish. You also have the problem of someone else getting him. Studies have shown bucks can range as much as 20 miles in circumference of their normal home range. Good Luck and please take him legally!!!

If you let him live a few more years you might be one of the best trophy non typical bucks. I have seen one sell to Cabelas for over $10,000. Its up to you. Someone else might get him before you do. But if he is non typical I would chance it. His antlers might grow to even better proportions and be an even better trophy.

somebody else will get him soon enough. There was a big buck in the back of my acreage a couple of years back. some one put a camera on one of my trees and was watching him and I found him wounded in the mouth and left for dead. Get him while you can
