I've been to Texas, Kansas, and Talladega.. and I'd say Dega was by far the best experience..
188 laps of 3, and 4 wide racing, NOSE TO TAIL.. It's just awesome... They don't get that close anywhere else other than Daytona.
Sit in the UPPER TRI-OVAL TOWER if you can. It's the highest level, but when your looking down at the front stretch.. you dont see the 2 sections below you.. you see the track and have an AWESOME view of Pit Road.. It also allows you to see the backstretch pretty well.
If you go, ENJOY IT! It's an awesome experience and I advise camping near the track if possible. Things get wild @ night!

I have never actually been there, but I have heard it is better for the partying and pre/post race activities than watching the race on the track. A friend of mine told me if I go, make sure I can see the screens! Either way, I still want to go someday.
Go JR.>>>>

It is if you are lucky enough to get seats high enough in the stands as we did. The bad thing is, no one ever sits down so.... you spend the whole race standing. They also need to replace their stands as the ones we were on (in the front stretch) were quite rickety and bounced with the movement of each person on them.

They have screen on the Infield to watch the Back Stretch--but if Dale Jr is leading or close to the front you have to stand up every lap to see anything. Because the Dale Jr. Fans do. about 85% of the fans at Talladega are JR Fans!!!!

My answer would be No.
If you are going, make sure you get seats high up in the grandstands. We had very good seats years ago for the ARCA race and saw basically everything.
For the NASCAR race, we were on the backstretch on a small set of bleachers. We ended up going on the grass portion below the bleachers and basically socialized with the ladies that were there. So in conclusion, if you want to enjoy the race, get seats high up in the grandstands on the front stretch.

No. It's to big. Great race to watch on TV. MIS (Michigan Int. Speedway) you can see the entire tarck from top of the bleachers.
Best track is Phoenix on the hillside.

Talladega is a fairly good place to watch a race. The best aspect of the track is it happens to be a large wide open track. This allows the spectator to have a good view of the enitre racing surface. I personally feel that Bristol is the absolute best track in the business. Why you ask? First, there is not a bad seat in the house, really. I have been 5 times during the past 4 years, and sat in a different seat each time. You still have a great view if you happen to be 15 rows off the fence, as compared to upper terrace seats. Everyone needs to take one trip to Bristol at least once!
