sparkling water is from a spring...soda water is not - both are carbonated...(have bubbles) for example Perrier sparkling water is from a spring and is naturally that way - carbonated.... soda water is unnaturately carbonated at a processing plant...I googled it oftentimes there is absolutely no difference between these two and seltzer water, etc. , but I gave you the example where I knew there is a difference - all are just basically just variations of carbonated water...

Many sparkling waters are naturally carbonated. They come out of the ground that way ... full of minerals and bubbles. Each has a distinctive flavor.
Soda water is water with carbonation added. It's usually bubblier than naturally sparkling water and not as flavorful.
I don't believe there are any rules about whether artificially carbonated waters can call themselves "sparkling water". You need to read the details on the label to find oul.

They DO NOT add sugar to carbonated water.
It is simply water which has been carbonated.
