Hes so nice and i really like him, funny e.t.c we have tonnes in common but hes 19 soon, and im 15 in may, hes told me he really likes me e.t.c but theres almost a 5yr age difference...i know its not as bad when you get older but at the moment. just like some opinions?

Everybody told me she was too young - but I wouldn't listen.

My first concern would be why an 18 year old has an interest in a 14 year old.....don't mean anything personal about you...but in most states and you should check your state laws, there is a statutory rape law even if it's concential. You're a minor and he's considered an adult. Your parents could turn him in if they chose to. In some states, if you were with him and he was pulled over and you even had your shoes off,the officer could enforce the law if they chose to. I wouldn't take the chance.....

The relationship is not illegal ..no one mentioned s e x did they? omg ... Well, if you're strong willed enough not to do the squishy stuff, then you'll be ok....but if your not, and you get carried away y'know ...he'll end up in prison and by the time he gets out you'll have found someone else... and destroyed his life as well as yours. As you said, it's just an opinion so dont get all alarmed but keep your thinking head on, for both your sakes and you'll be fine.

umm... well. the thing is that guy would be considered a petifile because you're only a minor and he's at the age where he's can be arrested. it may in a way be a good thing if you go out, but after a while it'll get boring. i don't know. it's just something that happened to me and a lot of my friends were happy when it was over between me and him. but it's just you choice... you'd be one lucky girl to have a relationship like that without a million hardships and let downs like me.

At 14 you shouldn't be thinking about a relationship with a 18/19 yr old. Enjoy being with your friends...concentrate on school. you have plenty of time to think about boys. And if I could honest here, a 18/19 yr old shouldn't be thinking about starting a relationship with a 14/15 yr old. That's a little creepy. Be smart.

I dont really think that the relationship wouldnt be a bad thing. Just make sure your parents know about becuase i am 16 and dated a 13 year old and her parents flipped. I have also known the family for 7-8 years. And make sure his parents know also. My parents kinda flipped.... And also... make sure that it would be a trustfull relationship. I know some girls who dated older guys and the guys were sleeping around behind their gfs backs.

Keep in mind that you are under age and he is not. Your parents could cause problems for him whether you want them to or not. Find someone your own age sweetie, you can still be friends with him.
Added: Loads of booze huh? Contributing to the delinquency of a MINOR...also illegal!! Taking a MINOR where booze is being sold or given out...also ILLEGAL!

If the guy has any sense at all, he will wait until you are a little older. Besides talking on the phone, just about anything else you do together could be illegal in your state.
Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with big age differences in partners, but you really need to be careful. Even if you consent, he is still guilty of rape if it were to go that far. Don't think you can hold off a 18 or 19 year old for very long, if that's what you're thinking.

you might try and give it a shot. It might not work out but you never know. Guys are very mysterious. They can love you one day and then hate you the next day. Good luck! (It's illegal though.) If he was younger, maybe. srry.
