My XP won't play any sound at all - when i click on windows media player it says "Can't perform operation, low memory" - when i click on windows movie maker it says "windows movie maker cannot be used because the required audio hardware cannot be found on your computer" - where the vidio should be on youtube it just says "hello, you either have javascript turned off or you have and old version of adobe flash player" i've downloaded the one it tells me to and still the same - i've deleted lots and lots of files and still nothing - i've checked everythings slotted in the back properly - i've tested the speakers with my mp3 and the work ok. Please help!!! oh and when i minimise things they dont show up in the taskbar and my spywares broken - oh and i've also scanned for viriuses and such like and nothing major came up. I'll shut up now lol x

i think ur comp crashed . neways try reintalling XP and then installing all the important software carefully..by the way. the java plugin being unavailable has nothing to do with the sound system.. also try to repair it in warranty..

well you should reinstall the windows then make sure you install the sound (comes on the CD with the motherboard)
and use a program to clean your registry every then and after..

Try booting up in SAFE mode and test your sound card then.

If it works, then there may be a program that is loading during startup that is taking control of your sound card (so that no other program can use it). Be sure to close all unused and unnecessary programs running in the background.

If it doesn't work in the SAFE mode, you may have a corrupted driver for your sound card, and you will need to reload the driver.

That's another reason to buy a Mac.

u might need to install the recovery disk

Did You reinstall WIndows?cause if you did..you need to look for drivers for your pc
