i am a pretty energetic person, which leads me to not watch my mouth. i can barely sit still and when i have to, i start to talk a lot and loudly. most of the time, i do not even watch what i say. i just say random garbage that turns people off. also, i tend to ask a lot of questions, which people find annoying because they feel like they are being interrogated. people say i am a really nice person, but they find me annoying. i am starting to notice that people will not even come around me. i thought my school is anti-social, but i now realize that people are just anti-social around me. what are some tips for remaining nice but less obnoxious?

Sounds like you need to play a sport or something to wear off some of that energy. You need to learn how to sit back and relax a little bit and how to enjoy the company of others. Take that energy and really focus on what they're saying and how you can add to the conversation. When you're about to say something, stop and say it to yourself in your head and ask yourself if it's something you think will add to the conversation or not.
Either that, or you have to learn to focus that energy in a way that the whole crowd can enjoy. Comedic Antics, games, jokes, doing wild and crazy things (that aren't going to land you in jail or the hospital).

Wow that's a really hard question to answer since nobody on here will know what you are doing that makes you annoying. You probably know what you are doing that's annoying better than people online. You could also try asking a close friend if you do something in particular that others find annoying. I find in general, people who try to be something they are not very annoying. You might want to try being more confident. If you like yourself and feel good about yourself you'll be less likely to be annoying.

I think your problem my just be that you are trying too hard. !st of all you can't worry about what other people think. Be yourself. Anyone worth YOUR time will accept you for who you are. I have noticed that there are alot of self ritchious jerks out there who won't give people a break. I am fairly confident that once the excitement wears down you are able to calm down, relax and be quite charming. DONT WORRY SO MUCH. You dont have to impress anyone. Let other people make an impression on you. seeing yourself this way will improve your confidence. That is the real issue

1. DON'T TYPE WITH CAPS lock.
2. Before you speak, run it through your mind, then think of it from the other person's point of view.
3. Lessen your speech, don't always talk, listen to others talk as well.
4. Talk about things that not only you might be interested in, but try to also talk about things the others like, or are involved in. For example, "How was your science test?" or "How was the game?" And let the other person go on about it.

I think you need to focus on being a better listener and not talking so much. Just try to be more laid back and maintain around others.

Learn some self control.
Restraint of pen (as in hasty emails) and tongue is a virtue that works wonders.
