I believe that it is a good thing to be in a church. It makes for a sense of community. :-)

Thank you bishop... So, do you have to live sin free to go to heaven? If not, than is there a cause to just exclude one type of sin from your church?

Isn’t it funny how the sack load of screaming evangelical leaders and their stooges talk sooooo much about how everyone should join with them in the praise of God, and then pull out a 100 yard long scroll with a list titled “EXCEPT YOU”

The Bible strongly condemns homosexuality. Sodom & Gomorrah was destroyed because of homosexuality. It declares its wrong for mankind to lie with mankind and for womankind to lie with womankind. It was so abominable to Lot that he offered his virgin daughters to the Homo mob to be raped and abused, rather than them raping the men.
Our church stands firmly against Homosexuality, We will not accept a homosexual / lesbian into membership unless they demonstrate deliverence from that sin. We firmly believe it is a SIN and a CHOICE made by the person caused by a perverted lifestye, and not something they were born with. We do not, and will not license or ordain any person that has EVER been or is homosexual.
We also stand for total abstinance from liquor and strong drink, and against the use of tobacco. We abhor and stand solidly against abortion, and premarital sex.
I am an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God, (Cleveland, TN)

Recovering French Roman Catholic here. Why be part of an organization which demonizes you even though they pretend to welcome you. Its a farce as is most organized religions. There's allot of reading out there to be done and anyone with a brain can work it out, religion does nothing but segregate and control. You can have a relationship with God beyond the confines of men. THERE ARE MANY OTHER PLACES IN WHICH YOU CAN GET A SENSE OF COMMUNITY ... MANY!

I am a Lutheran. They think homosexuality is wrong, but gays are neither barred nor treated as outcasts. How many heteros are doing things that are considered wrong by the church? A lot. No one has a clean slate, so we are discouraged from throwing stones. Certain things should be left to God.

Roman Catholicism-Gays can join as God gave us free will...it is a sin, but there is no hate towards them. The reason why homosexuality of bisexuality is a sin is because sex is sacred and was meant for a man and a woman who are committed to each other to make a child and pass on their faith...

I have gay members in my congregation. It's no big deal. They are children of God just like anyone else.

Wicca has a history of being very accepting and encouraging of homosexual unions; in fact, we have whole denominations devoted to LGBT members. Generally speaking, most Wiccans view homosexuality as a naturally occurring orientation, and believe that all acts of love and pleasure, with harm to none, are potentially sacred acts and in any case worthy of respect.
I've seen several Wiccan rituals of marriage for gay couples, all of them quite beautiful.
