I think everyone in this section who understands evolution (and note I did not say believes in) should answer all evolution based questions with "This question belongs in the science section." Evolution is not a religious matter. Is this a good idea and would you be willing to join in?

I don't know...it's kind of fun...

Besides, I think the people in the science section don't have the patience to deal with the ignorance and the nonsense presented to them by the creationists.

lol

Evolution is a religious matter. It is not science. It cant be even be tested with the scientific method. In order for that to happen it would have to be observed, be able to do experiments, be able to be reproduced in a labratory, and the be judged to see if the finding are false. Evolution meets none of the requirements and there for is not science.
We should have compasion with those that believe in evolution. They need to be here.
It takes a lot more faith to believe in evolution that in does in Jesus so I am praying that some eyes will be open and they will learn the real truth.

No, evolution can't be understood by science, but rather a question of faith. if questions of creationism/evolution are based with some thought and reasoning, then a few good questions posed to really help the science of creationism / or would god use evolution as a natural process could be useful. other questions are just superficial and don't help the facade.

Religion deals with the origins of life, the universe and everything. Some folks believe that evolution is part of the creation process. Therefore evolution can be a legitimate subject for religious thought.

However, you have my permission to not participate in such discussions.

the denial of evolutionary theory is very much a religious matter. the only possible counter-argument to evolutionary theory is that you have a magic book which says it isn't true.

denying evolution is a major purpose of religion in the twenty-first century. it is almost as important to a religious belief as the racism and the homophobia.

Of course it is religion. Science is based of facts and evidence, of which there is none. Darwin is their Messiah, and they evolved from slugs.

Maybe a good idea, but the idea that anyone will join in is a non starter. This is not a forum for sensible, as I've noticed.

Actually, with all the scientific data disproving evolutionary theories, and still people holding fast to them, and getting angry when someone tries to hold their theories up to scrutiny, you better believe it's a religion!

It gets old hearing about it so much on here, but proponents think it is worth talking about it, so let them.
