I'm trying to make a poster using Print Perfect Platinum desktop publishing software. I want to save it as a PDF so I can transfer it to a ump drive and take it to the print shop to have printed. When I save it as a PDF, and then open the file , my one page poster is broken into 4 pages. How can I make it only be on one page?! Urgent please!!!!

Also, how many DPI's should I save it as?!

Regarding breaking things up into 4 pages, I suspect that may be a preference setting in Print Perfect (I am not familiar with the software, but I suspect that if it's intended mostly for desktop inkjet printing [typical home use, most such printers print only to 8 1/2 x 11 as the largest sheet]). From any other design program that allows you to do a save as a PDF (for example, Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop) you set the document size (which can be almost anything) when you create the document, so when you save as a PDF, it keeps that size. So my best guess is if you are creating a large poster Print Perfect is automatically breaking it up for you, based on the usual printing setup (this may be referred to as tiling). See if there are preferences or page size/document size settings you can change.

As for the DPI setting, minimally 300, but consult with the print shop you are going to use. They may suggest something different.

get advice from the print shop, they will be more than happy to help, PDF files are compressed and kind of grainy at times, use a TIF file or high quality jpg , .ask me more if you need anymore help, ok
