I have CS2 on a laptop with only 512 mb ram. It works but slow as paint drying. I don't think you will have a problem with 2 gb ram. Oh, this laptop is also a Celron, not the fastest and bestest cpu.

I'd say probably. You don't specify what type of laptop (Mac or PC) and/or what type of processor. But the 2 gigs of memory is about right (you can do it with 1 gig) and a 160 GB hard drive is sufficient. Just be aware that if you add lots of stuff, of course you can run out of memory, so I'd keep only what you use all the time. Periodically back things up (good idea no matter what you are running), even if it's burning things to DVDs or CDs. A good idea is that if you are keeping a lot of images (photos etc.) on your laptop, but you don't need them all the time, burn them to a CD or DVD, and setup a labeling system so you can remember what's on them. Then if you are going to work a project that needs some of those images, you can always copy them back onto your machine. Of course you can always get an external hard drive as backup too.

Right now I am running Adobe CS3 Premium (so that's Photoshop CS3, Illustrator CS3 etc.) on a 17-inch MacBook Pro, Intel Dual Core, with a harddrive same size as yours and 2 GB of RAM (memory). So you should be okay unless you are running a really ancient processor.
