Woman! I have so many things wrong with me now that I will never live that long. I can't even be sure of next week. My long term plans are to survive till June '08 when "Ironman" comes out. I have doubts if I do that I will be able to get out to see it.

Of course, errr, well what is "enough". Many people who had "enough" had it all disappear during the whole Enron debaucle. Then there are events like Katrina, but in general yes.

Falling on hard times, is by no means limited to Witnesses or the aged. My non Witness brothers constantly are hitting others up for money, including us Witness relatives.

My parents made sure they took care of themselves and their finances. And no they weren't among the few who though '75 was THE year.

My former pioneer partner started pioneering out of HS prior to 1975 because of the emphasis put on that year by the organization at meetings and assemblies. Many of my New York buddies have recently left bethel without a skill set or marketable ability that can provide an adequate retirement.

It seems that when you become very sick at Bethel, you are asked to leave (I have not verified this, just heard it from a few friends) to not place a great burden on the organization.

I know of MANY brothers/families scrambling late in life as a result of following the organizations adminition regarding the future. Buying out the oppourtune time, not buying a house, never getting a degree, not...............

I was convinced that Armageddon would come before I had any grey hair. (I don't have any now, but it's thanks to hair color technology.)

Actually, checking back through a WT Library CD, there are quite a few articles on retirement and estate planning.

Of course, there are also comments about how to put one's retirement in trust for the Watch Tower Society.

They'll be happy to take your money.

this is a good question. I tried getting into the Jehovah's Witness thing once. I didn't like the way that I was always told to not try to accomplish too much good because only Jehovah can solve all of the worlds problems.

May the Lord richly bless you all during each and every single day of the 1238 days that is left....!!!

Now we have learned from the Bible that the Rapture of the true believers of Jesus Christ will occur on May 21, 2011 AD, which will be five months before the end of the world on October 21, 2011 AD

"And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man." (Revelation 9:5)

The Bible is a Book that is absolutely true and trustworthy. It is the centerpiece, the keystone of this study.
