Doing nothing to solve the Immigration problem and yet they help and promote it at the same time by giving a Tax number to illegal people so they can pay taxes like any other US citizen. But they can't claim any Tax returns (the IRS provide this number)

THe US govt is one huge, disjointed and dysfunctional machine; the left hand couldn't care less about what the right hand is doing.

If it did, those that slash the budget would be watching the cost spent on defense contractors and not allow $300 hammer expenses for cripes sake!

And the IRS wants one thing and one thing only: TAX REVENUE. They don't care who they take it from or how they take it. They just want it.

Dont look for logic, consistency or alignment from the US Govt. It plain doesnt exist.

Bush does what big business wants, and big business wants (demands) their CHEAP labour, which is why those illegals get given tax numbers, and other free services.

Thats also why legal residents & citizens lose their jobs and cannot get new ones.

So you're saying you have a problem with illegals paying taxes?

When the President of the United States is sworn in, he swears to defend and uphold the laws and the constitution of the United States. We have laws on the books about immigration and... he is not upholding them. Shouldn't he be held accountable? Shouldn't he be impeached? My company fires people who fail to do there jobs. So why isn't George let go?

You better check again my freind as there are certain nationality's that when coming to this country they are allowed to wrok and own buisinesses without having to pay tax's for up to 7 years in some cases and after the end of that time they go back and have a relative come over and take over the company and then they don't have to pay tax's just likethe first ones that started it and the money gets sent back home to the family and it go's on and on and this is because of our government, I checked with the IRS about this because of a person I knew that worked for these people and could never get a pay stub and thy said they don't have to because they don't have to pay tax's. This only applys to certain nationality's not all but considering the vast amount of these people here doin this and having never ending family's it jst keeps on going. The hotel-motel industry is a good place to start.

You apparently misunderstand what a ITIN is used for. It is not a number that can be used to gain employment.

An Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) is a tax processing number issued by the Internal Revenue Service. It is a nine-digit number that always begins with the number 9 and has a 7 or 8 in the fourth digit, example 9XX-7X-XXXX.
IRS issues ITINs to individuals who are required to have a U.S. taxpayer identification number but who do not have, and are not eligible to obtain a Social Security Number (SSN) from the Social Security Administration (SSA).
ITINs are issued regardless of immigration status because both resident and nonresident aliens may have U.S. tax return and payment responsibilities under the Internal Revenue Code.
Individuals must have a filing requirement and file a valid federal income tax return to receive an ITIN, unless they meet an exception.

Government = politicians and you ask if they are hypocrites? Politicians = hypocrites=liars=thieves etc etc etc.

Yes, my friend, they are hypocrites, in everything they do. If they do something to benefit you, it is only a byproduct of what they did to help themselves. That is the sad, awful truth.

You can attribute this to the Bush administration. He is a NAFTA and cheap labor lover. All that will change in 08
