Everyone knows that Coke works pretty well, but as anyone experimented with others, like Vernors, Faygo, Canada Dry...? Also, Diet or Regular? Any good results?

coke is the only one that my friends recommend. put the mentos on a string and hold the string on the very edge and screw the bottle top on it. DONT let the mentos ge tinto te coke until you open the bottle. we had a competition between the teachers at my highschool. but forget my friends opinion, the diet rocks !!!!!

I saw this exact experiment on Myth Busters. They use Coke or Diet Coke but i also think Sprite or Pepsi works well to

USE DIET COKE!!! I DID IT! I PUT THEM IN THE BOTTLE CLOSED THE CAP AND THREW IT IN THE CUPBOARD. The bottle blew up and made a huge mess.

you should try own brands fizzy drinks they tend to have more fizz causeing alot more action (i warn u be carfull)
