First...How old are you? Old enough to have a guy-friend? Well, anyway. He definitely likes you. Probably a lot. He's acting exactly like I did when I was a young guy and still a little embarrassed about girls. I didn't want the guys to hear what I said to a girl 'cause I thought they would tease me and say I was corny and all that...But, he likes you. You can ask him out and he can ask you, too. It doesn't really matter. Make certain mom and dad know you're meeting him, etc. Happy New Year and congrats!

There are a few contradictions in your piece that I will like for you to clear up . 1) what kind of friends are you since you guys seem to spend a lot of time together2) why is he hanging out at your house when you guys are not dating3)have you asked him why he acts the way he does when his friends are around, does he have another girl he does not want you to find out about4)Have you asked him why he says he does not like you to his friends but wants to spend all this time with you and acts totally different. You need to get answers to the questions above and others before you start dating him .Something is just not right here and he is the only one that can give you the answers. Also while you are asking him those questions, ask yourself why you like him a lot.

He definately likes you, he just doesnt want his friends to know, they will tease him about it and make it difficult. I used to do exactly the same thing, hide my feelings for a girl from everyone else.He likes you, GO FOR IT!

either he's immature, or maybe he's coming out of a bad relationship and he doesn't want to like you. i think he likes you though. it sounds like it to me...
to me, the first step would be to get him to say out loud that he likes you, then go from there.

Here's the answer I would give my daughter. He's a jerk. If a man likes you (a good man, mind you) He will not acted like he is ashamed to be around you. Sounds like you a possible safety net for him, in case he can't find someone he thinks is better. You've fallen into the "liking someone who doesn't like me" trap. When you quit playing games or letting someone else play games with you, you will find someone... the RIGHT someone.
Or as my wife would tell our daughter... find someone good like your daddy!

Yes he likes you, but unfortunately he is very immature and much too concerned about looking cool to his friends. So he's acting different around them than he does when you're alone. You asked him to a dance so it's his turn to ask you. But don't have too high of hopes for this guy-- his maturity level is so low that he can't really be relied upon to be a good boyfriend.

He might be shy to show his feelings toward you around other people. I think you should tell him how you feel about the whole situation.
Good luck. ^^

Of course he likes you!!!
If he's not prepared to admit in front of his friends that he likes you, then I'm not sure if he deserves you!
