Dunno. Incredible, ain't it?

It's not even the first translation of the Bible into English. In a course I once took on Scripture, we spent weeks on nothing but the translation errors of the KJV.

But still people want to make it out to be infallible, inerrant, translationally perfect. Somehow more truly God's word than it was in the original old languages. Go figure.

because they believe what they are taught and don't use their brain.

i have even heard some say, "if it (the KJV) was good enough for peter and paul, it's good enough for me"... very sad

How can the translated version, especially that of a relatively new languge, be more accurate than that the original version? If so, why have there been, since the KJV, so many other translated versions of the Bible? Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek are, by far, more intriquing and more colorful than English. So, whoever is telling you this has no logic base for the argument.

Ugghh.
Hasn't anyone ever heard the concept called lost in translation.

KJV is a translation of a translation.

The meaning of things can get lost in translation.

KJV is not more accurate than the original texts.

It is likely more accurate to what they have come to believe. It apparently isn't so important what the Bible actually SAYS in some cases.
