What concerns me is that we might not know it's the mark of the Beast until it is too late!

But yes, I would resist.

If i knew what it was . . . but i am not inclined to violence against other people, so i really don't know. I'm sure i would resist it if i could. Like, a polite "No thank You" or just not stand in that line.

Excellent question, and something true, sincere Christians everywhere must address because soon, some day I believe it will be upon us.

Personally, I try to be as much of a pacifist as possible but as regards this particular conflict, if I must go to arms to protect my fellow Christians then I will. But if it comes to me and I am targeted by the beast system to either take the mark or be killed, then so be it. As one of my heroes (Patrick Henry) once profoundly stated, "Give me liberty or give me death!"

I'm an atheist, and I would resist any attempt to force me to put a jesus fish symbol on the back of my car.

No, I would just refuse. The Bible shows clearly we will be given a choice, die or take the mark, so, since there would only be few miserable years left for the world at that point anyway, they could just kill me.

Of course, I believe in Pre-trib rapture, so I don't plan to be here, just speculating about what I would do if I'm wrong about the time of the Rapture.

I am not frightened of the things Rome did 2000 or so years ago, but then again, I am not a Christian.

If I understand scripture right, it would be safer to be killed than to kill. (and the mark of the beast is willing/ choosing it.)

If the mark is accepted voluntarily, it is valid. If it is imposed by force, it is invalid and without force. Christians do not need guns, and need only take a firm stand.
