Actually, English is not a lauguage; it is a slang.

Latin, Hebrew, Greek, Spanish, and French are languages.

English is made up of terms from various languages; which makes it a slang.

A miracle. And the americans to all wake up one day and decide to create their own language and stop wrecking ours. And for everyone to learn the apostrophe rule, and some basic grammar. I'm in top set GCSE English and loads of my class reckon that should've is short for should of.

Hi there,

bann all americans from using English. They usually borrow our language, mess it up and send it back to us in Soap Operas like Friends, where the messed up parts find their way into mainstream English i.e. a bunch of people instead of a group of people. Another: Have you got....? Yes I do (I do got?????? Only in america can the English language be so messed up)

not to allow the American's to bastardise it!
and stop all this blad ting rubbish, I know the English (UK) language is made up of slang, Germanic, Celtic, Norse, Gaul, but the latest fade is truly running it into the ground.

ps: Americans stop asking the English do we speak English

English was made up a collective of languages in England, hence English, so thus it belongs to England, there is no mention that English is American, is there?

Does it need improving? Language always changes otherwise we'd still be talking and writing like Shakespeare. Previous generations' needs for technology and advancement has meant that English has had to change unnaturally fast. Don't blame young people for 'wrecking' English; computers were forced on them, they have no choice. It is much easier to contract words when typing and makes sense - look at the long 's' from 500 years ago - exactly the same thing. Having studied French, German and now Chinese, I can say that English means I can express myself in at least 10 different ways when those other languages will only have one word. I am proud of being able to speak English and we should relish in the ancient culture it has to offer us rather than complain about something that won't be a problem in 100 years' time.
P.S. Before you start complaining again, look at your punctuation; your spaces are all over the place after full stops.

English is constantly evolving. Is it getting better? I don't know. I find it interesting that so many people speak it as a foreign language, and some other languages fight to keep English words out of their language. To me it means their language lacks a way to say something.
