You could drink green tea, to give your seratonin a healthy boost. Also, have you been tested for food allergies? They can make people feel quite miserable. You also could need some sun - seasonal affective disorder could be helped with special lights - it helped my sister immensely. Have a happy, healthy New Year!

Your age is key here. And to say it is a "seratonin deficiency" is pretty broad. For example, your digestion is controlled by seratonin - are you having stomach or digestive problems too? Don't diagnose yourself to that degree without knowing what you're confronting! Here's something you can do that will not hurt, and may be the key to some amazing differences: Check out some of my articles about Attention Deficit Disorder at http://www.ehow.com/how_2110722_.html

I suggest this particular article because it is the same profile you describe as having a spectrum learning disability associated with ADD. You may not have ADD, but actually, in today's world, we all have the same nutritional and BIOLOGICAL issues due to stress and your's are added to by growing through hormone changes as teens. As I've said in many promotional and professional materials: "Picture your life today – interactive experiences rule! Driving, eating, listening to the radio and talking on the phone, all at the same time; this is NOT an unusual experience! Neither is opening an email, talking on the phone, typing, and filtering out "cube noise" while running to the next meeting. With just these two examples, it is easy to see how understanding learning disabilities, where motivation, attention, focus, learning and self-regulation are continually at issue, can be of immense value in creating the personal, educational, and professional strategies needed to effectively deal with all aspects of life today."

GOOD LUCK - you are a NORMAL GAL - the vitamins and diet will help you immensely. Once you get them down into a life pattern for your daily regimen, THEN take stock of how you feel and decide if you truly need any "meds" to artificially elevate anything about your growing and changing body!

good luck! Let me know how you're doing!!!!

Many folk are depressed these days, to much inward looking and not enough getting on with what is worthwhile.

Everyone has special skills, find yours.
Read, everthing, talk to older folk.

Confidence comes from achievement, join a club mix with others of all ages.
There is a difference between speaking a lot and saying a lot.

Start writing! let it out, find a trustworthy individual, and discuss your writings. Write down why you don't talk to people, why you seem depressed, why you fear people are already judging you (without reason), Talk to family, friends, etc., and discuss possible ways of expression and stress relief. Other than that, wait til you talk to a psychologist, or mental health counselor. Best of wishes, and try to have a good New Year!

These are normal flucuations at that age. Surround yourself with positive people, and make a consious effort. Doctors many times only create new problems. Drugs do not fix everything. Our culture has invented drugs to "fix" everything, even things that should be left alone.

Are you atheletic, do you play any kind of sports whatsoever? I mean even disc golf is a sport. You probably need to spend more time out and about with others. Get some serious social interaction whilst enjoying something physical. Most people underplay the necessity of being active w/ other people. You'll find that if you do something while hanging out with folks you'll be more relaxed and you'll be able to relate better. " Shared experiences" are the keys.

Stop trying to have the answers and worrying about the dates. If you belive in God, pray for a relaxing peace. Sit quietly and meditate. There is too much going on for you to be sad. Forget what others say and relax. You don't have to fake happy, you can be happy. Stop trying on your own and ask God for help.

Okay, first off....never depend on a psychologist. They are not going to cure you. They are there to listen, to be supportive but they won't make you happy. Ultimately change has to come from within. I know that sucks but I have been dealing with depression for 27 out of 32 years of my life. I have a laundry list of meds I have taken as well as therapists. Nothing "fixed" me. I still feel like crap.

You have to have that drive to change and even then sometimes it isn't enough. Depression is a chemical imbalance that cannot be completely controlled by sheer will power. If that were the case there would be way fewer pharmaceutical companies pushing their antideps on us...

Good luck and best wishes...
