I'm making a warm bean dip in a slow cooker, but it's too thick and drying out. What can I add? Milk?

Water would be best to add this will thin it out an you do not have the chance of something burning or curdling like a dairy product would. If you want when you take it off the heat add some sour cream or plain yogurt low fat for some richness.

You could also consider adding the juice of a lime or two for some added zing.

Milk will be fine or a little salsa/taco sauce. Also you might be cooking it on to high of heat. Maybe low or warm would work so you don't cook to fast.

Milk is the best to use, and I learned from the "viejita" (little old lady, in Spanish) who taught me the secrets to creamier beans, and she used milk.......just add a bit at a time, you can always add more, you can't take it out......Enjoy your bean dip!!!

Yeah, probably water. And olive oil. But make sure you're not cooking it too hot, cuz that could be part of it!

I think a tomato or pasta type sauce would taste better, even salsa

Water, catsup thinned with water, salsa if your making it spicy or a little tomato sauce if it suits the recipe. Milk just doesn't sound right like it might curdle from the heat.
