I really liked "Maria, full of grace". It has wonderful
acting by Catalina Sandina Moreno
and a scary story about drug mules from
Colombia. It was nominated for several oscars.

That's hard. alot of spanish movies are not rated pg. The best films are the independent films but they arein english standards rated R.

El Abuelo (The Grandfather)

Are you sure it has to be *PG*? That's a rating reserved for kiddy flicks nowadays. I suggest looking for older films (pre-1990) in Spanish and just looking them up online for information. Black-and-white films would be a good, safe bet too.

Many films that have official ratings have been dubbed into Spanish, so you could go that route too.

Just because they have no official rating doesn't mean you can't figure out for yourself if it contains nudity, sex, cursing, etc. Check out the synopsis, ask people what they thought of the film, and maybe even preview it yourself before showing to others.

However, many Spanish films are none for their violence so... good luck to you.
