Some one said in the boards "MOST Christians are hypocrites"...so my question is...do you KNOW "most" Christians or are you doing the EXACT same thing you think Christians do towards you? Judging? Are you not a hypocrite for doing the same "SOME" do? If not, what makes you correct and not a hypocrite? I just see it as a double standard.
Just a simple question. If you feel that you have to "bash' then thanks for showing the world you character as a person.

no, I’m judging. I’m asking a question. I wouldn’t say MOST atheist are hypocrites because I simply can not.
Or you just simply can't answer the question because you got called out?

i agree with me :-) people shouldnt judge at all. it is not in our place. but some people do it. heck, i do it. i am not a perfect person. i take care of my own actions. if somebody is going to put me down, then they will do it. they have to answer to God, just like i will have to answer to him. i dont like it when people use double standards either.
dont get me wrong there are some Christians out there that use double standards just like how other religions use double standards. but that doesnt mean EVERYBODY is like that.
love,
her sister :-)

Personally I think it is a universal statement and I will explain. The bible has been proven to be a compilation of books written over 325 years AFTER Christ died and the VOTED on. Some people wrote several "gospels", Mark for one, yet they don't include the inconvenient ones. Also, it has been proven that some of the bible was plagiarized from the Sumerian tablets, yet universally Christians say that it is the word of god. The concept is ludicrous and if you accept that it is the word of god you would have to accept that the Sumerian tablets were the word of god. No one does so just being "christian" is being hypocritical.

Most of the Christians I know personally are not hypocrites - they are just nice people with a different faith and belief system than me.
The Christians that I consider to be hypocrites are the narrow minded and bigotted ones who twist the words of the bible and Jesus to justify their hatred of others.

Nothing about my belief system says not to judge, so my judgment is not hypocrisy.

Disagreeing is one thing, being judgemental, rude, and mean is another. I'm afraid that alot of people on here miss what the difference is.

Double, triple and even quadruple standards.
It doesn't matter if it's related to Christians or atheists or agnostics or pastafarians.... making sweeping generalizations is human. We know it's wrong (most of us know it's wrong) but we tend to do it anyway.
