Apparently I'm the first to say that I DO unwrap gifts very slowly. It seems to get on the gift giver's nerves. But hey, it's a gift to me and I should be enjoying wrapping it. I get more joy out of making it last. I'll start on one end, slowly lifting the flaps of paper. Then flip the box around, slowly lifting the flaps on the opposite end. Then I slowly tear down the seam on the backside of the box. The other person is usually saying something like "Come on, open it!" by this point. Hey, I enjoy the anticipation of what awaits inside!

My 4 year-old never wraps her gifts to me. Usually, the gifts come crumpled in her preschool backpack.

Not usually. I don't pay much attention to how I open them, but I don't think it is fast or slow really...just my own pace.

It would really depend on who the gift was from and the level of my exuberance. Often I will take a decoration off slowly and/or ribbon but never the paper. Zap it's off!
