If you bought a pair of shoes, would you toss one out?

The OT was our schoolmaster, foreshadowing things to come. In fact, if you know the Word well enough, you can almost teach all of the NT from the OT.

For example, there is more written in Ezekiel about the millennium, starting at Chapter 40 and to the end of the book, than is written about it in Revelation

Even Christians follow the Old Testament because it was a shadow of what was to come in the New Testament. Christ came to fulfill the law and what the law couldn't do because of man's weakness and sinful nature, Jesus did on the cross.

No one has obeyed the law Rom 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by the grace found in Christ Jesus.

well we all should follow some of the teachings if we call ourselves followers of Jesus, but we are no longer bound by all of the old testament laws since Jesus was sacraficed for us and our sins. But I think the 10 commandments still stand

The Old Testament and the NEW TESTAMENT, BOTH talk of God.
Things are the SAME--no matter how you look at them.
God leads us to each Testament to learn how to live joyfully, EXPECTING happiness and contentment!

Raping And Killing

"Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword. Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished." (Isaiah 13:15-16)
Comment

These verses foretold the deaths of the people of Babylon. Fortunately not everyone in Babylon (now modern Iraq) fell by the sword or had their children dashed to pieces or their wives raped (just another instance of errors in the Bible). How some people who believe in an infallible Bible can accept these verses as God inspired, or morally uplifting can only give evidence to the blinding nature of belief. For if we believe these words as God inspired, then the killing of children and the raping of wives must also come as an inspiration from the Supreme Being.

The Bible is the word of God, from beginning to end.

" I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty."

" And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength."
